Friday Top 5: Acoustic Songs
Howdy folks, so while I was debating what list to do for today, I got myself into a acoustic mood. Started listening to some killer songs on YouTube and thought, hey what the Hell, let's make a list outta this one. So, enjoy these songs pass them on to someone special and come back for more.
Just a heads up, eventually I will be moving this Friday over to YouTube as a weekly show dedicated to showcasing new music and bands that are not signed, and I feel need way more recognition in the industry. But, more on that later. For now, enjoy the list!
5. 'Lies' - Marina and the Diamonds
I seriously got a epic soft spot for this band. Her voice is amazing and the music reflects the vocals which in turn, reflects the emotions. It is amazingly awesome. If you are one of the few new to their music, welcome to the neighborhood. Please enjoy your stay.
4. 'Through the Glass' - Stone Sour
Quite possibly one of my all time favorite Stone Sour songs. This version is perfect. The video showcases Corey's personality and the instruments carry the songs so well. I am jealous. Yes, yes I am. Shut up. Don't judge me.
3. 'All I Want' - A Day To Remember
Really great song here. They pulled this off very well. I really don't know what else to say besides epic tune. Yeah, that pretty much covers it all.
2. 'February Air' - Lights
For the record, I hate spelling February. Really I do. It's like a hideous monster to me that I can't seem to get right any time. Seriously. Anyways, keeping in theme to my Song of the Day on Thursday, I bring back the most epic Canadian singer of epic kick ass-ness. This is my all time favorite track from her and if you get a chance, you must go buy her acoustic album. You will not regret it.
1. 'Built to Fall (Acoustic) - Trivium
I came across this while I was scanning and my jaw hit the ground. Not only an epic song, not only an epic singer but it's done on a roof top some where ridiculously cool. That scenery looks just awesome. I wanna go there. yeah. love this. That is all.

Friday Top 5: Bands you need to listen to Part 5!!
Once again we come back to the ultimate in Bands you need to listen to! This time around I have selected 5 amazing bands/artists that are amazing and I am currently loving hardcore. If you need to catch up, no worries, here are the links and they'll all open in new windows so you won't lose your spot!
I am very excited about this list, so lets just get rolling right into it!
5. The Modern Traditional
Coming in at #5 and representing my home town is The Modern Traditional. I friggin' love the sound these guys have created and can't wait to hear more. This is what the radio needs more of. Follow them now and get in while you can folks.
4. The Show
Now one would expect with such a name as The Show, they would have one hell of an awesome life performance and from everything I can see and find, (being from Canada, it's fairly difficult for me to make a live show for The Show.) they kick ass! Thus, I welcome them to the illustrious halls of Chitty's List! Woot!!
3. Ideal Zero
Another amazing female fronted band. Love. Love. Love. This is an amazing acoustic song here and I think you will all dig it. If you don't, then go away. I don't want you in my presence. Nah, I'm kidding. Come back. Don't be like that. Geez.
2. Kingsfoil
Easily made it on the list. Kingsfoil is amazing music. I just dig it. Catchy, classic and fun. These are the kinds of peoples I wanna get drunk with and end up in jail some where around Vegas wondering what happened and why I have a pet skunk. I'll name him Smiley.
1. Eye Empire
I first got introduced to Eye Empire by Shatterline (Click here) and I instantly was hooked. These guys are beyond amazing and they need to b e heard by everyone. Pass them on to at least 3 people a day. I mean it. Or else.

Friday Top 5: Band you should listen to Part 4!
This series has become a huge hit! It's so awesome you guys. Let's keep it going then! I've scanned the internets in search of some amazing bands that you need to listen to and have found another 5 amazing bands. Please, follow them on their social media, buy their music and support the hell out of these bands because they deserve the recognition. Bring it on!!!
5. Drop Dead Pin-Ups - Glamour Girls
Oh, I'm starting this off with some Canadian Flavor baby! Hell yes! Right from Toronto comes out with some Drop Dead Pin-Ups. great old school flavor with some nice new sounding vibes. Loving this. You will too.
4. Face The King
This is some tight music here. I think a ton of you are going to dig the sound and fall in love with this band. The sound has a richness to it that is instantly classic yes fresh. More tunes from Face The King? Yes please.
3. Woods of Arden
Like the first comment on the video states "Damn these guys got a shit load of potential." I really have to second that. This band has everything it needs to make a huge impact in the industry. Keep it up guys!
2. Charity Vance
All right, now, really, I'm going against my usual style of music but Charity has such an amazing voice and passion in her music that it's hard to over look. She is epic, and you MUST support her. Now. or baby kittens will come to your house and cry in front of you. No one wants that. Trust me.
1. Altered Sky
Straight from Scotland comes another amazing female fronted band. Hot damn. Awesome sound and they seem completely down to earth. Completely worth shelling out the cash for the tunes. You will not be disappointed.

Friday Top 5: Favorite Karaoke Songs
I used to be a mad karaoke junkie. Like, my friends and I were down at the bar every Friday and Saturday pretending to be rock stars and getting drunk. No idea if we were any good or not. Frankly, I don't care. It was hella-fun and I'd totally do it again. So, in memory of those amazing days, here are the Top 5 songs I loved to sing.
5. Pink Floyd - 'Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)'
Everyone should know this song. It is epic, and a ton of fun to sing. Right from the intro line it grabs you and you can't help but sing along. It's really good mid way through the night when everyone is tanked and starts joining in.
4. 3 Doors Down - 'Kryptonite'
It's not only a classic song, but if your drunk enough you can really belt it out to make peoples ears bleed. Come on, that's some killer fun to be had there folks. Pass a pint and let's get it done!
3. Linkin Park - 'In The End'
Fantastic duet song. I took the rap parts and my friends took the singing. We got pretty damn good at this one. I'm fairly proud of my drunken ass singing this song. Always makes me smile.
2. Everlast - 'What It's Like'
This one fits my vocal style for sure. Also, one hell of an epic tune. I love it to death. Still do. The trick is to get that gruff sound in your voice. Once you got that, you got it made. Oh yes. Like a rockstar.
1. Limp Bizkit - 'Break Stuff'
Shut up. Don't judge me. It was fun. 'Nuff said.

Friday Top 5: Instrumental Songs
I remember sitting in a coffee shop along time ago and having a conversation about music, and the guy I was with started ranting about how he hated instrumental parts in concerts. How it ruined the show for him to watch the musicians do their thing. I felt like slapping him. Watching amazing players do their thing and jam out without worrying about lyrics and just having fun is one of the best part of any live performance. If you don't agree, we can't be friends. I'm sorry.
Some days I just like to kick back and listen to some awesome music. When I'm deep in doing my designing or playing games I like to have some amazing music in the background to jam to without finding myself singing along. So, in honor of that, here are my top 5 favorite instrumental based songs/artists!
5. Apocalyptica - Nothing Else Matters
Nothing beats taking an amazing metal song and turning it to classical style strings. So amazing and beautiful. I love it. Apocalyptica was one of the firsts and still holds up to amazing standards. Enjoy.
4. String Tribute to Tool - Schism
I LOVE me some Tool. Seriously, I don't show it much, but I am a huge Tool fan. Add to it some amazing string work and I'm a puddle on the ground. They've released a few tributes to Tool albums and each of them are amazing. I highly suggest buying them all and just enjoying it.
3. Godsmack - Batalla De Los Tambores
First time I saw this DVD I was floored. Then this came on and I creamed my pants twice. Not gonna lie. This was epic beyond all comprehension and I don't think anyone could have done it better. Two drum kits, two drummers, epic guitar work and the energy is amazing. Not to mention the incorporation of such classic song riffs and drum beats. Excuse me while I watch it again. And again...
2. Bond - Explosive
For many years now, Bond has been my number one band to go to when I'm looking for instrumental amazing tunes. These ladies blow my mind. The sound is tight, the music is memorable and they are beautiful. They have an extensive amount of work out there, I highly suggest spending a day or two and listening to EVERYTHING. It is totally worth it.
1. Negative pH - OQ3.14
Remember how I said Bond was my number 1? Yeah, that was until I heard Neg. pH for the first time. Two man crew and damn are they amazing. This is the music you want to listen to while your gaming, or driving, or cleaning, shit anything. Welcome to Negative pH. Enjoy your stay and buy their music. Or else.

Friday Top 5: Favorite Female Fronted Bands
OK, I've been pondering doing this list for a while, and recently I got introduced to some freaking amazing female fronted bands and I thought, yes, now is the time. I don't know the huge fascination I have with female singers, (maybe I'm just a pervert... who knows.) Regardless, I love listening to an amazing beautiful voice that can rock harder then most male singers. It's epic and it's awesome.
Seems only fitting to give you my fav. 5 female lead bands that you need to rock out to. You are going to like it because if you don't, a fairy loses her wings and a baby unicorn dies. Just saying. Enjoy!
5. Shatterline
Yes, I had them as one of top 5 #1's of bands you need to listen to, but I felt I needed to include them here. they kick ass and I can't wait to hear more from them. So, listen again, embrace it and show them love.
4. Bipolar Echo
Great vocals, band is tight and they are creating a unique sound. Beyond all that, that bassist is a bad ass mofo. I mean, come on, a big ass chain for a strap? EPICNESS. I am following this band extremely closely and I will get an interview. Oh yes, I will.
I have chatted about ITM before but I'm going to do it again because this band has it all. They can cover so much emotion and ideas across such different sounds that it blows my mind. Vocals are entrancing, the music is beyond tight, and I am completed addicted to the 'Blood' album. Seriously, get it.
Recently this amazing band started following me on twitter and, as usual, I check out the music, see if I dig it, you know, do my thing. Well, after watching this video and hearing this song, I was floored. Literally. No really, I hurt my ass falling off my chair. I mean, it wasn't the music's fault, I slipped, but still, this band is among the best in the female ass kickers club. Hell yes.
1. Charetta
I was sent to this band by one of my amazing twitter friends and I was instantly hooked. Such power in the vocals and the music can stand on it's own. Every member does such an amazing job and these amazing artists deserve all the fame and glory. They are gods and I am not worthy.

Friday Top 5: Songs to get it on
This list is not be confused with the Top 10 Most Romantic Metal Songs, but, a few songs fit in. This list is all about getting it on. So we're going PG-13 at least here people! You've been warned! Instead of the usual ranting, I'm going to get right into it (get it on!!) So here we go!
5. Adelitas Way - Alive
4. Marilyn Manson - Tainted Love
Great song to get it on. Don't care what you say. I prefer the Manson version and not the original, but either one works. It has enough of a solid beat to get the mood right, the sexy ass lyrics to set the tone and go have some fun!
3. Project 86 - Pull Me Closer, Violent Dancer
Getting into that, a little bit more aggressive form of love making... Yeah, just a little... Song works GREAT though! It's awesome. Yup. Big fan of this one. Heh. Anyways, moving on!
2. Pucifer - 22:20
Man, this is a sexy ass song. Something about Maynard's vocals, and the lyrics, the music itself. Just screams sexy times, in a slightly off way, but I'm a twisted individual so I can get away with it. Also, it's my list. BAM!
That brings us to the number one song... And really, you should have seen this one coming..
1. Nine Inch Nails - Closer
Just shut up, listen to the song, get your groove on, make some love and apparently treat someone like an animal. You know how it goes. *Cough* I think, my existence is you know, flawed. Or something.

I listened to 'Desert night' about 10 times while writing this and I'll be picking up the album as soon as I can, and I highly suggest, no, I tell you that you MUST buy this album. Listen to Chitty, he'll never set you wrong.

Generally not my usual style of music, but Darling Parade has a sense of genuine love of music that I found it intoxicating and had to put them on this list. The music video was extremely well done and the song is catchy. Their fan bases is growing so get on it now and you can tell everyone how you listened to Darling Parade before they became famous. :-D

Holy hot damn. These guys kill it. I absolutely love the sound of the music and the vocals/lyrics are epic in an unexpected way. These guys are killer. take a listen and fall in love with some good rock & roll.
-I also love the singers hair. That's some tight shit there. Just sayin'.

Now they have a fairly decent following so far, but dammit, they deserve more. They got a catch sound and I enjoy listening to it so you will too. If you don't, I will hunt you down and take out your knee caps. I'm Canadian, I'm crazy like that. Anyways, give them love, watch the videos over and over and buy the music!

I'm positive that if I didn't include this band on this list a bunch of my twitter followers would abandon me, hunt me down and skin me alive. So without a doubt, they are my number 1. I love this song especially. It's great the band is amazing and they are without a doubt the most active social media band out there. They not only listen to their fans but try their damnedest to reply to all of them. Great guys, great music. Show them your love.

Friday Top 5: Favorite Youtube Musicians Pt. 2
Oh yes, going to continue this one. More great artists who are doing amazing things. Don't forget to check out last weeks Top 5 and come back tomorrow for the Weekly Top 10!
He has be vlogging, rapping and skittin' on Youtube for a long long time. He has his own style and doesn't apologize for it. Worth checking out for sure. He's got some great skits too! Worth subbing up to, worth spending a day watching his videos. All in all, worth it.
4. Matthias
A gentleman who does parody videos. he has an awesome voice and some great concepts. Definitely check him out and show some love. Good stuff here.
3. The Fu Music
First saw these two amazing guys in 'Internet Icon' web series and they are epic. They've honed their ability to bring out such emotion in a song, it's uncanny. So, they do both covers, and originals. I've linked their latest cover but I highly suggest watching their 'Internet Icon' videos. They came up with some amazing songs.
Time to get your geek on. Hiimrawn brings an amazing rap style to geek songs. Great beats, great raps. Not to mention he gets some awesome youtube stars to cameo and act in the videos. Check out his Mario gets played too. Seriously, love this guy.
She was in the finals for 'Internet icon' and I thought she was mostly vlog related. But, upon further investigation, ok, further stalking of her channel... I found out not only can she sing, but she can freakin' SING! She is awesome, and completely deserves to be at the top of this list. Check it, love it. her vlogs and skits are awesome too. All in all, she rocks.

Friday Top 5: Favorite Youtube Musicians Pt. 1
Ah this is an awesome list filled with some amazing artists. Their main focus is on Youtube, and there is so many amazing artists out there and Youtube has become such an amazing vehicle for people. Both in mainstream availability and success on the internet. Hell, I know Youtube is the next step for this blog. One day. One day. So, in honor of the amazing ability of the internet, here are my top 5 absolute favorite Youtube stars. If you don't subscribe to them, do it. Now. Trust me. These folks are amazing.
5. Alphacat - 'I'm Gonna Win!!'
So, I've followed Aphacat for a long time now. This guy is amazing. I chose to go with his Barack Obama spoof for the video, but he nails a mean Drake spoof and his original stuff is ridiculously amazing. He is talented in so many facets that it makes me sick, but I respect this man completely. Alphacat, if you read this, let me do an interview with you. That would be epic.
4. RealityChangers - 'I Won't Give Up' Cover
OK, Jerge Narvaez is seriously a man of great and amazing talent and inspiration. (See this complete article about him here. No, really, click here, you need to read this article.) I really can't convey the words to describe how amazing this family is. Just, watch, listen, read and fall in love. They need way more love then what they get now, and they get a lot of love on Youtube.
3. Lindseystomp - 'Transcendence'
With over 115 million views on her channel, she is a serious star, and for extremely great reasons. Beautiful, talented and she comes across as the sweetest girl in the world. you can't help but love this lady when you watch her videos. She has done so much and accomplished tons. Check out her channel and fall in love. You will not be disappointed, I absolutely swear.
2. Vkgoeswild - 'Toxicity'
I had a huge internal argument with myself over what song to post of hers. She has done some amazing piano covers of some amazing metal songs. I narrowed down the list between Toxicity and 3 Libra's. The latter really got me the first time I watched her play it so that's what I went with. If you have a few hours to watch some amazing piano playing, hunker down with a coffee and watch all of her videos. She is amazing.
1. Karmin - 'Lighters'
The ultimate creation between hip hop, contemporary, acoustic, and amazing-uh.. ness. These two have ti all. Everything you could want in an amazing band. Sex appeal, sound, musical ability. Sit back and enjoy some amazing songs. While you're at it, check out their original stuff, old covers, interviews, EVERYTHING. Tell 'em Chitty sent ya.

Friday Top 5: Songs that should be Metalized
As I have a very diverse taste in music, I often find myself listening to a song thinking, 'Damn, this would be epic if covered by (Insert hard rock/Metal band here). So, In a fantastic list, I've compiled 5 songs I feel should be metalized. Or at least made into a killer cover. Oh before I forget, please remember to check out my Artist Profile all about the beautiful talented Katie Rox (Click Here) Without further ado, here is your Friday top 5!!
5. Lady Gaga Feat. Beyonce - 'Telephone'
Yea, this is one of those metal versions I think could just be great fun. Maybe even made into a punk version. That would pretty damn cool too. nothing too serious, just a song to have fun with. I'm thinking covered by Metallica or Pennywise.
4. Alicia Keys - 'Fallin'
I have been in love with this song for the longest time. Hell, it's a sexy song sung by a sexy lady. I seriously believe adding a nice hard rock feel would bring an amazing level of depth to this song. In my mind, Amy Lee should do this cover. That would be hot.
3. Royce Da 5'9" feat. Eminem - 'Fastlane'
Another song I can't get enough of. really, deep down I'm an Eminem fan boy and Royce is an amazing rapper and writer. This song has the speed and sound to make for one killer track done by Mike Shinoda and Corey Taylor done over a thick and heavy Slipknot track. Hell yes.
2. Tupac ft. Outlawz - 'Staring Through My Rearview'
If there is one song to epitomize my rap days it's this song. I absolutely love this track. This needs to get covered by Crossfade or Fair to Midland. My life would then be complete.
1. Rihanna - 'Russian Roulette'
Already primed song with a nice guitar riff. Needs to be sped up, thickened with some amazing bass and drums, maybe a killer solo added. Machine Head style. Yes. That would be mind blowing. So, if you're reading this and are close friends with Robert Flynn, get on it!!

Yeah, this song. Covered by Papa Roach. Epic. 'Nuff said.

Friday Top 5: Musical Numbers in Movies
Movies. Everyone loves them. My favorite are movies that have random musical numbers thrown in them. In good sport, here are my 5 most memorable moments, and as a twist I'll even add in the videos! When Becky tries to teach Dante how to dance, not only did it start off with a sexy Rosario Dawson dancing but then it breaks out into an all out dance sequence. Doesn't matter if you're stoned or sober, that was epic. Well played Kevin Smith. Well played.
4. Ferris Bueller's Day Off - 'Twist and Shout'
Yea, this is classic. Must be on this list. Everyone loved this scene. If you didn't, go back, get really drunk and watch the movie again. You will love this. You must love this. Or else small baby unicorns die. Just saying.
3. Wayne's World - 'Bohemian Rhapsody'
Again, if you love this movie as much as I did, it's impossible to listen to this song without head banging at that part. Oh yes, also, try to listen to it without humming the guitar riffs. Impossible. Enjoy the video and I'll shut up.
2. Hudson Hawk - 'Swinging on a Star'
Possibly Bruce Willis' most underrated movie. I mean, it's totally quirky and silly kinda stupid but man is it amazing. The subtle way they throw in musical references is beautiful. Also, Bruce is awesome at singing these songs. Between this one and also check out 'Side by Side'. Could just be nostalgia, but I love this movie.
1. Tank Girl - "Let's Do It"
My old boss got me hooked on this song a long time ago. It is so awesome. not only in the movie, but on the soundtrack to the movie Joan Jett and Paul Westerberg do an AMAZING punk cover version. Seriously, check it out and you will download it. Great song.
